Business Meetings

CCBPA meets every first Thursday of the month at Werth Manor Event Center.  The meetings are from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.  Bring lots of business cards, prepare to network, learn about the community, take in an educational and informative presenation, and enjoy breakfast!  Anyone who works in or has an interest in the City of Commerce City is invited to attend. 

Board Meetings are held every last Tuesday of the month at Gala Gardens.  All meetings are open to the public; we invite you to join us and watch the organizations governance in action!

Charles Lilley's practice specializes in consumer bankruptcy and securities fraud, in which he has over 25 years experience.  Today he will be speaking to our members about current bankruptcy trends and the consumer lobby.    Mr. Lilley has served on the steering committee of a nationwide class action on behalf of travel agents in In re Travel Agency Commission Antitrust Litigation, U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, Civ. N. 4-95-107, which resulted in a recovery of over $80 million. He also played significant roles in which his firm was lead counsel in consumer cases against U S WEST in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska ($5 million total recovery), and Blue Cross of Colorado ($3 million recovery).

Mayor Natale will explain 3 upcoming ballot measures: Amendment 60, Amendment 61 and Proposition 101.  These measure that propose cutting property taxes wil severely impact funding for education and cut an estimated 70,000 jobs statewide.  These measures are OPPOSED by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Council of Colorado, Jefferson County Economic Development Council, Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry, among many other Colorado organizations.

ADAMS COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER - Monica Berger and Jim Robinson will share details and photos of the new government center. The 330,000 square foot, five-story facility will be located at 124th Avenue and Sable Boulevard in Brighton. The building will consolidate employees from 15 departments most accessed by county residents for "one-stop shopping." Offices will include the Board of County Commissioners, Assessor, Clerk and Recorder, Treasurer, Community Development, County Attorney, Planning & Development, Public Works, Veterans Services and the Workforce & Business Center

ADAMS COUNTY TREASURER - Treasurer Diane Christner will update us on Adams County's current financial situation.
